Thursday, April 14th (Day 1)

Friday, April 15th (Day 2):
7:15 am Bring your luggage to the lobby so that we can load it in the bus.
7:15 am Breakfast
8:00 am Departure to our Tortuguero adventure. We will go along one of the largest national park of Costa Rica, Braulio Carrillo, and plan to drive all the way to Guápiles for restrooms and goodies for the way.
11:00 am Arrival to the dock to get our boat transportation to go to Tortuguero. This is expected to last one and a half hours to get there. As soon as we get to the Hotel, we will have lunch. After that, we are going to visit the village of Tortuguero to explore the closest town to our hotel.

** Just for you to have an idea, Tortuguero is the only place in Costa Rica where there are no cars, and the only way to get there is by boat or by plane. Our hotel is located near the Park, and this means that this amazing forest is OUR BACKYARD! The canals are right in front of our hotel. Across from our hotel, just past the canal in front, there is the Caribbean coast, but we have to be aware that this is NOT a swimming beach and the roughness of it is what attracts the Green sea turtle that nests here from July to October.
Saturday, April 16th (Day 3)
7:00 am Breakfast
8:15 am Depart to our boat tour in the canals of Tortuguero on non-roofed boats to experience one of the most amazing rainforests in the world.
1:45 pm Hike at a nearby forest in order to get a feeling of the rain forest, this is likely to be muddy and buggy, so, prepare yourselves with good repellent and walking/ hiking shoes. However, the hotel can lend rubber boots to those who want them.
7:00 pm Dinner at Hotel Las Baulas
Sunday, April 17th (Day 4)
7:00 am Please bring your luggage to the dock to be loaded on the boats.
7:00 am Breakfast
7:45 am Depart to Sarapiquí area, stop along the way to use facilities
Group NOT DOING optional zip lining tour 11:00 am Arrival to the village of Puerto Viejo to explore a little around the area. This is the main town of a Banana and hearts of palm producing section of the country. 12:00n Lunch at the hotel EL BAMBU and then check in. | Group DOING the optional zip lining 11:00 am Arrival to Pozo Azul adventure center in order to do the zip-lining tour This is an experience that takes you to platforms located on top of the trees made of steel and wood. Meanwhile, you are equipped with a harness that goes around your waist and thighs and you will hang from your center of gravity since you sit on this harness and hang from 2 safety lines that are connected with the main steel cable and the pulley that runs freely on it. You are literally flying on top of the trees with professional guides that hook you in or unhook you off. You don’t do anything on your own. You start from a point where they put the equipment but you ride on a tractor to the first platform and you have to do the whole thing once you start 1:00 pm Lunch at EL BAMBU and then, check in to the hotel |
2:30 pm Optional pineapple tour at Finca Corsicana. Go to the plantations, eat fresh pineapple from the fields and drink a piña colada served in the pineapple at the end of the trip.

Monday, April 18th (Day 5)
7:00 am Breakfast
Group NOT doing white water rafting 9:00am Bring your suitcases to the bus. 9:30 am We leave to pick up along the way, the group that went to do white water rafting to continue to Arenal Volcano area | Group DOING optional white water rafting 7:00 am Bring your suitcases to the bus, but bring a change of clothes in your carry on to get ready for the ride to Arenal area at the rafting facility 7:45 am Optional River rafting tour at river Sarapiquí, class III rapids, and done along the rainforest of the area. 10:00am Depart to Arenal Volcano area |
12:30 pm: Lunch at the Hotel Lavas Tacotal. Then check in.
3:00 pm: Visit the hot springs of Baldi Thermal Spa.
7:00 pm. Dinner at Lavas Tacotal Hotel
Tuesday, April 19th (Day 6)
7:00 am Breakfast
8:00 am Depart to go to the La Fortuna waterfall
12:00 am Lunch at Hotel Lavas Tacotal
1:00 pm Depart to visit the town of La Fortuna.
2:00 pm Depart to kayaking tour at Lake Arenal
7:00 pm Dinner at Lavas Tacotal Hotel
Wednesday, April 20th (Day 7)
6:30 am Breakfast
7:15 am Departure to Guanacaste area.
9:15 am An opportunity to do get souvenirs at the cooperative of artisans of Sarchi and San Ramon. This will be the best chance to get Costa Rican memorabilia directly from the people who make the ones that are in the rest of the shops. This day is the last one to get souvenirs and crafts.
12:45 pm Lunch by Rincón de La Vieja Volcano.
2:00 pm Walk through the active side of the Rincón de la Vieja Volcano, 1:30 min approx.
5:00 pm Arrival at Nacazcol Hotel
7:00 pm Dinner in Nacazcol Hotel
Thursday, April 21st (Day 8)
7:30 am Breakfast
8:30 am Departure to enjoy the morning at Playa Panama Beach.
12:00 pm Lunch at the Hotel Nacazcol with time to enjoy pool and facilities.
3:30 pm Visit the village of Playas del Coco
7:00 pm Dinner at Hotel Nacazcol
